Jacques Henri Lartigue “at Play”

Thematic exhibition

Dating from between 1902 and 1913, these first photographs, taken by Jacques Henri Lartigue as a child and adolescent, show him both contributing to and witnessing the inventive, playful spirit of his family members as they build airplanes, bobsleds, practice jumping, race on their bikes and fight in the water. The exhibition also includes his first snapshots, self-portraits and “photos of ghosts.”
