This year the French Post Office philately program is paying homage to the great French photographers. Jacques Henri Lartigue will be honored alongside Niepce, Daguerre, Nadar, Atget, Brassaï and Doisneau.
This series of stamps will go on sale in July 1999, to coincide with the opening of the 30th Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles.
