From January 22 to April 3, 2016, the exhibition “Lartigue, Life in Color,” which was on display at the Maison européenne de la photographie, Paris, last summer, was then on display at the Foam museum in Amsterdam, where it was admired by 46,683 visitors. “For me, life and color are inseparable (…) I wouldn’t know how to say if I prefer photos in color or photos in black and white. Both correspond to different needs, and each is irreplaceable; even better, their respective qualities complete one another…”
« Lartigue, Life in Color », the English-language version of the catalogue “Lartigue, la vie en couleurs” (éditions du Seuil, 2015), has also just been published by Abrams, New York. A portfolio on the new book was published in “The New Yorker” magazine.
