Jacques Henri Lartigue’s French Riviera

Thematic exhibition

This exhibition records Lartigue’s life on the French Riviera from 1908 to 1980, showing what the area looked like before mass tourism, the beginnings of yachting and beach games in the interwar years. There are also portraits of artists and personalities such as Sacha Guitry, Abel Gance, Jean Cocteau, Pablo Picasso and John Fitzgerald Kennedy – a personal chronicle of an elegant lifestyle and a lost age.
